Ashhurst Engineering has evolved into a highly successful steel fabrication and construction company with over 30 staff members.

Dave Hoskin

Dave Hoskin
Managing Director

Dave is the principal owner and manager of the Ashhurst Engineering team. With 20 years experience in engineering.

Dave develops the strategic direction for the company, he also liaises with customers, management and staff to ensure we have the resources and processes in place to consistently fulfil our promise to deliver quality products and services, on time, to the required specifications, and on budget.

 

Jim McCartenJim McCarten
Operations Manager

Jim is an experienced, qualified engineer, responsible for the overall operation of the Ashhurst Engineering workshop.  

Jim maintains high standards for every aspect of workshop operations - from the quality of finished products, to the maintenance of equipment and the accuracy of record-keeping. He also takes a proactive approach to his role on the Ashhurst Engineering management team, continually looking for ways to improve quality, productivity and efficiency in the workshop.

 

Alister BradleyAlister Bradley
Senior Supervising Engineer

Alister oversees large projects and site work for clients in the construction and electricity industries throughout New Zealand. Drawing on his 18-years of experience with Ashhurst Engineering, Alister is able to find effective solutions to any issues that arise on a job.

Alister says the most satisfying part of his work is seeing projects through from start to successful completion, and Alister sets high standards from the outset. "I believe in completing each job to the same standard I'd want it done for me," he says. 

 

Tony BellTony Bell
Estimator & Profile Cutter Programmer

Tony manages our Profile department & Plate inventory and provides accurate price estimates for potential customers. 

Tony has six years experience working with CNC machinery. He continually looks for ways to improve the productivity, efficiency and quality of the CNC services at Ashhurst Engineering, and he approaches even the most challenging projects with confidence that "it can be done and it will be done."

 

Tony AndersenTony Andersen
Supervising Fitter/Welder

Tony is responsible for fabrication and site work. His focus is on consistently delivering quality products that he's proud to send to customers. After 7 years with Ashhurst Engineering he continues to enjoy the challenges that site work brings.

In 2007, Tony was named the Skills4Work Top Apprentice Year 3+ in the lower north island. He holds a National Certificate in - Level 4 Heavy Fabrication.

 

Wayne HolsworthWayne Holdsworth
Supervising Fitter/Welder

Wayne has responsibilities in both fabrication and site work for Ashhurst Engineering. He has over 20-years of general engineering experience, including 11 years maintaining and driving locomotives for NZ Railways.

Wayne's experience means he can take on a variety of fabrication jobs, and offer considerable expertise when he's working on site. The most satisfying part of his job is seeing customers happy with the products and services they've received.
